George H. Allen

George is the head of the Global Rivers Group at Texas A&M. He studies surface water resources using remote sensing, geospatial analysis, models, and fieldwork. In particular, his work focuses on the impacts of climate and land-use change on river systems at the global scale. Apart from research and mentoring, George enjoys gardening, traveling, cycling, and roughing it on long backpacking trips.
